fsd

Asthma costs in the United States approach $56 Billion dollars each year. The average cost per year for a child with asthma was $1,039 in 2009 with an associated 10.5 million missed days of school. It is common with 1 in 12 adults and 1 in 11 children have asthma. It is deadly with 9 people dying from asthma each day!

Participants should recognize the risk factors for asthma severity, minimize exacerbations, reduce hospital admissions as primary goals of patient care. These sessions will address risk factors for increased asthma severity, how to close the gaps between current care and recommended best practices for the treatment of asthma in primary care settings and working with subspecialties for optimization of best outcomes.
